Rules
What this is
Peakwyn is a public leaderboard of paid placements. A listing’s rank is decided only by confirmed spend. There are no votes, reviews or algorithms, and a rank is not an endorsement.
Boards
- All-time: total confirmed spend on a listing. It never expires.
- Today: spend confirmed since midnight UTC. It resets at the next midnight UTC.
- Daily archive: each UTC day keeps its own board, frozen when the day ends.
- Categories: each category has its own all-time and today boards.
One payment counts on every board it belongs to: all-time, today, and the listing’s category boards.
Amounts
- Whole US dollars only. New listings start at $10. The maximum total is $999,999.
- To raise a listing, enter its new total. It must be at least $1 above the current total. You pay only the difference.
- You are credited exactly what you pay. If two people raise the same listing at once, both payments count.
Taking #1
Each board has a #1 holder. To take #1, a listing’s spend on that board must reach the holder’s spend plus $5. A payment below that still counts and places the listing by amount, directly behind the holder.
Ties and timing
- Equal spend: the older listing (first placed earlier) ranks higher.
- Your rank is set when the payment is confirmed, not when checkout starts. If someone pays while you are checking out, you may land lower than the estimate.
- Payments are counted on the UTC day they are confirmed.
What you can list
- A product website, an app in the App Store, Google Play, Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons, a GitHub repository, an npm package, a Hugging Face Space, or an X handle.
- One listing per website domain (subdomains other than www are separate). Apps and repositories are listed individually.
- You must own the destination or be authorised to promote it, and the site must show valid business or operator contact details.
- Tracking and affiliate parameters are removed. Link shorteners are replaced by their final destination.
Not allowed
- Chat or invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal and similar).
- Adult or sexual content, gambling, illegal goods or services, malware, phishing, scams and impersonation.
- Unlicensed regulated financial offers, and anything that breaks the law where it is offered.
- Manipulating visits, for example with bots or paid click traffic.
We can remove a listing that breaks these rules. Removal keeps the payment record for accounting. See the refund policy for when a removal is refunded.
Links and visits
Outbound links are marked as sponsored (rel="sponsored") because they are paid placements. They pass no search ranking credit. We add ref=peakwyn to outbound visits so you can see them in your analytics. The visit count shows unique visitors per listing per 30 minutes, excluding known bots and link previews.
No prizes
Nothing is ever paid out. There is no chance element, no prize and no return on spend: you are buying a visible advertising placement whose position is set by the published rules above.
